The San Diego Pro-cathedral, formerly known as the San Diego Parish Church or the St. Didacus Parish Church before its declaration as a pro-cathedral in 1994, is an early 20th-century churchin Silay City, Negros Occidental in the Philippines. It is the only pro-cathedral outside of the national capital of Manila,[1] and is unique in Negros Occidental for being the only church in the province featuring acupola or dome.

*Bernardino-Jalandoni Museum (Pink House)
**The Bernardino Jalandoni Museum, also known as the Bernardino Jalandoni House, located along Rizal Street, Silay City, in the province ofNegros Occidental, Philippines, is the original residence of the late Don Bernardino and Doña Ysabel Jalandoni. The museum is also known as the "Pink House" because of its conspicuous pink paint that easily grabs attention.
*Ramon Hofileña Heritage House
**The Hofileña Ancestral House is the residence of the late Manuel Severino Hofileña and his family located in Cinco de Noviembre Street, Silay City, in the province of Negros Occidental, Philippines. The home was built by Hofileña for his wife Gilda Ledesma Hojilla, a former Miss Silay,and their nine children.
At present, Ramon Hofileña, one of the children and heirs, resides in this ancestral house and personally tours guests who visit his abode.

The Hawaiian-Philippine Company (HPCo) is the oldest and still very much operational sugar central in Silay City, Negros Occidental. It was established in 1918 and is currently owned by Jardine-Davis, a U.S. Company.

El Ideal has been serving good food since 1920's and is included in one of the thirty heritage houses declared by the national historical institute. Famished after walking around to see the heritage houses of Silay and the famous Balay Negrense, we decided to try this local eatery.

*HOW TO GET THERE*
Silay City can be reached in 15 minutes by private car from Bacolod City. Public utility vehicles plying the route abound and can reach the city at the same time. Silay is the site of the new airport of international standard. Traveling to the city is made easier by its four-lane highway. City is a two-hour drive from Bacolod City. Public utility vehicles plying the northern Negros route pass by this progressive city. From Cebu, one can reach Sagay via Toledo in about four hours including a one-hour ride in fast ferries.
